Productivity Places Program - Building Surveying
Transformed has received Government subsidised places for the Diploma of Building Surveying under the Productivity Places Program, a joint initiative of the NT and federal governments.
The qualification is targeted at building certifiers and surveyors with 3 - 5 years experience who are looking to achieve a nationally-recognised qualification, and take a step towards licencing as a building certifier (restricted). Individuals should be currently working as a building surveyor/certifier and be able to demonstrate that they have performed the full range of activities as a certifier on single and multi-storey residential property.
Individuals’ current skills and knowledge will be assessed and if all aspects are covered, they achieve the Diploma - no need to study or go to classes. As part of the assessment, each person needs to prepare statement against each unit of competency and provide evidence in support of their statement. Evidence might include: referees reports; diary notes; reports; photographs or other examples of documents produced.
Individuals can complete an online self-assessment to help identify which units they could achieve.
