One of the requirements of getting a Qualification as an Electrician, and getting an Electrical Workers License is for a person to demonstrate they have achieved the required on the job experience during their time as an apprentice.
The way this is done is by using the “Profiling System”, an internet based system to record apprentice experience each week.
This is the nationally preferred method of recording apprentice electrician experience. It is endorsed by the NT Training Authority, all the NT Training Providers delivering your qualification, the NT Electrical Workers and Contractors Licensing Board, Safework NT, as well as by Employer organizations and the Electrical Trades Union. It also gives the apprentice and the employer a valuable tool in monitoring progress through the period of training.
MITAC is responsible for providing support to Profiling for users in the Northern Territory.

IT IS MOST IMPORTANT THAT EXPERIENCE IS RECORDED FROM THE START OF THE APPRENTICESHIP. Failure to do so may risk significant delays in achieving your qualification and license and possibly even the situation where an apprentice may not be able to get a qualification and license.
